Ecommerce AI Search Services One catalogue.
Six engines.

Citelx is an AI search agency for ecommerce brands in the United States, and we run the work on a platform we built ourselves. Eight services, and every one of them starts by reading your live catalogue product by product.

What this is built on

The research, and where it came from

Every agency in this category asserts that AI changed search. Almost none of them show you the number they are working from. Here is ours, and the link to it.

A buyer now passes several engines before deciding, and each one answers without a click. That is the whole argument for covering more than one, and it is the reason these eight services exist rather than a single retainer called SEO.
40% of Gen Z search on TikTok or Instagram instead of a search engine. That figure is Google’s own internal research, reported publicly, not a competitor’s estimate.
30.4% of Gen Z product discovery starts on Instagram, and 23.2% on TikTok.
18.8% is where Google sits for that same first discovery moment. Third, behind two apps most stores treat as a place to post rather than a place to be found.

Why us and not them

The same six words, six different jobs

“AI SEO for ecommerce” is on every agency site now. The phrase is free. What sits underneath it is the part worth comparing, so here is ours next to what is usually sold.

The question Usually sold as How Citelx does it
Where the keywords come from A keyword tool, filtered by volume. The same list any competitor in your category can buy. Your live catalogue, read product by product. Nothing is suggested for something you do not stock.
How your niche gets decided A dropdown of industries, or whichever category happens to be your biggest. Discovered from your own store: its title, its headings, its collections. A tools store never gets a wrap-film plan.
How many engines Google. Sometimes a social add-on sold as a separate retainer. Six, covered from one catalogue: Google AI, LLM assistants, Meta AI, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest.
What you get at the end of the month A PDF of rankings, and a call to talk through it. A platform you log into, showing what is covered, what is open, and what your team marked done.
Who does the work The pitch team, then a junior once you have signed. The people who built the tool run it on your store. Agency and platform are the same company.
What happens when a number is needed A statistic appears in your article. Nobody checks where it came from. The brief leaves a placeholder and asks you for the real figure. We publish nothing we cannot source.
How the work runs

Five steps, and you see all of them

The same sequence whichever service you start with. Nothing is generated before you have confirmed we read your store correctly, because everything after that inherits the mistake.

Read the catalogue

We pull your live products and collections from your own store, then show you what we found. You correct it before anything else happens.

You confirm

Establish the niche

Taken from your store itself rather than a dropdown: the title, the headings, the collection names. This is the step that decides whether the whole plan is about your business.

From your store

Find what is open

Your published content is matched against what buyers in your category actually ask. What is left over is the gap list, and it is specific to you.

The gap list

Brief and produce

Each gap becomes a brief with the angle only your store can supply. Your writer executes it, or ours does. The handover is tracked in the platform.

Brief or done-for-you

Mark and track

Published work is marked off engine by engine, so at any point you can see what is covered, what is in progress and what nobody has started.

In the platform

Social and video search

Where the buyer is scrolling

Four separate search engines with four separate indexes, and no shared ranking signal between them. Most stores post to all four and optimize for none.

Before you buy anything

Who this works for, and who it does not

We would rather lose the inquiry here than three months in. Some categories have no Pinterest demand. Some questions nobody asks. We say so.

A good fit

  • You sell products online, with a real catalogue behind you
  • Your category has buyers who research before they buy
  • You can supply the one thing we cannot: what you see when a product fails, and the mistake customers repeat
  • You want to own the content rather than rent a ranking

Probably not

  • Local services, SaaS or agencies. Everything we built assumes a catalogue
  • You need a fixed date for a first citation. Nobody can honestly give you one
  • You want volume: fifty articles a month, unread, unsourced
  • You want a statistic invented because the paragraph needs one
What we will not do

Four commitments, and the reason for each

✓We never invent a number

Where a real figure belongs in your content, the brief leaves a placeholder and asks you for it. A fabricated statistic published under your name is a liability, and it is the fastest way to lose the trust this entire strategy depends on.

✓We do not claim to read AI’s mind

The scan finds where your store can be cited. It does not tell you what an assistant says about you today, because no tool can see that reliably, and one that claims to is selling you a number it made up.

✓Ecommerce only

No local services, no SaaS, no other agencies. Every part of this assumes catalogues, collections, and buyers comparing products. A generalist has to guess at that.

✓We say when something will not work

If your category has no demand on a channel, we tell you before you pay for it rather than after. A channel sold that will not pay back costs us the account anyway.

Not sure where to start?

Start with what your store looks like today

The free scan reads your live catalogue and finds the questions in your category where your store could be the cited source, and the ones it has no answer for yet. It takes a couple of minutes, and it tells you which of these eight services you actually need.
