01 Who we are

Citelx LLC operates citelx.com and the platform at app.citelx.com. In this policy "we" and "us" mean Citelx LLC.

02 Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry we collect your name, your email address, your store URL, an optional phone or WhatsApp number, and the answers you provide in the inquiry form. When you hold a platform account we collect the email address for the account and a hashed password.

Information collected automatically. Our web server records standard log data, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We record the IP address of inquiry submissions in order to rate-limit them and prevent abuse.

Information about your store. For scans and client work we retrieve publicly available files published by your storefront, being product and collection data and your sitemap. We do not access administrative areas of your store and we do not receive order or customer records.

Cookies and analytics. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets two first-party cookies, _ga and one beginning _ga_, to tell visits apart and keep a session together. They last up to two years. We use the reports to see which pages are read and how people find the site, not for advertising, and Analytics is not linked to any advertising account. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The platform sets cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in.

03 How we use information

• To respond to your inquiry and to prepare the findings we said we would send.
• To provide the services and operate your platform account.
• To generate keyword, topic and content recommendations for your store.
• To secure the service, including rate limiting and abuse prevention.
• To send service messages about your account or an active engagement.
• To comply with law.
• To see which pages of this website are read and how people find it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

04 Service providers

We share information with the providers that operate the service on our behalf: our web host, our email provider, Google, which provides Google Analytics, and our AI provider, DeepSeek.

International transfer. DeepSeek is based in China and its published policy states that data is stored on servers in China. Requests we make to generate recommendations contain catalogue wording from your store and are processed there. They do not contain customer records or your account credentials.

These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their service to us. We do not sell information to anyone.

05 How long we keep information

We keep client information for the duration of the engagement and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Inquiry records are kept while the opportunity is live and deleted after that. You may ask us to delete your information sooner.

06 Your choices and rights

Wherever you are, and whether or not a statute requires it of us, you may ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Provide a copy of it.
• Correct it if it is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

Email contact@citelx.com. We will verify that the request comes from you before acting on it, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

US state privacy rights. Residents of California and of other states with comparable laws have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. We extend the rights above to everyone rather than only to residents of states where they are mandatory.

07 Email and messaging

Commercial email we send includes an unsubscribe mechanism and our postal address, and we honor opt-outs promptly.

A phone or WhatsApp number in the inquiry form is optional and is used to reply to your inquiry. We do not send marketing texts or make marketing calls to numbers given to us for that purpose, and we will not do so without your prior express written consent.

08 Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including hashed passwords and transport encryption. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim that ours is.

09 Children

The service is for businesses. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10 Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will tell active clients directly rather than relying on you to notice.
